Before you travel, scan your travel documents and e-mail them to yourself. If you lose something, you will be able to access it electronically. In the old days, we used to photocopy our passports and other important documents and keep a copy in a separate part of our luggage.<\/p>\n
That’s old school, and while it will still work, going digital is a better option. If I were to lose absolutely everything while in Korea for instance, I could get on any computer and access the documents I need to help get a passport and such reissued.<\/p>\n
It’s important to keep your important documents secure. If you lose them it will be a hassle for sure. But having digital copies that you can easily access with make it an easier process than without. So scan and keep digital copies available.
