The Crime Triangle is a simple way to illustrate three components needed for a crime. Desire to commit the crime, Ability to commit the crime, and the Opportunity to commit the crime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The criminal will have the desire and ability, and there’s nothing you will be able to do about it. However, you can do something about the opportunity. Do not provide the criminal the opportunity, and he can’t commit the crime. And if there is an opportunity, take it away from him by escaping, denying or attacking back if necessary to keep yourself from harm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
