Last Monday I taught an Active Shooter Response class at a church. Before teaching, I was told that a few of the members of the congregation were concerned that it would be too negative, and they had heard about such trainings that scared people, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I ensured them that when I teach these types of classes I believe in empowering people, not scaring them. I don’t want people to be scared and paranoid. I want people to be empowered so they can go out and enjoy life safely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After the class, I got some great feedback from people, and I was told the couple people who expressed nervousness beforehand were very happy and felt the class was well worth attending.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
